The result of eight years planning and hard work has been the launch of a new youth initiative in the Boston area. roadHoG - the House of God on the road - is a double-decker bus, specially converted to enable local churches to support secondary schools by day, and villages and town areas by evening. Lincolnshire Youth Mission, the Lincoln based charity which owns the project, seeks to support practical and engaging ways for the local church to connect with young people. The bus comes complete with a small café area, chill-out lounge, classroom and prayer room.
LAUNCH NIGHT IN FISHTOFT: 24th March 2010
St Guthlac's Church has been instrumental in starting the project and are currently planning and training a small team to work on the bottom deck of the bus in Fishtoft. Visiting the village every fortnight, St Guthlac's will play a small part in providing the village with an extra place for young people to be. If you would like to be part of the team or support the project in any way please speak to Tim Johnson on 07941 904031.
